Seventh Heaven is the first studio album recorded by Kalafina. Kalafina is produced by Kajiura Yuki who is well-known in anime circles for her contributions to .Hack, Xenosaga and Noir. Kalafina is Kajiura's most famous project and excel in the unique genre of music they represent.
LIKES:
- Vocals. The harmonies these girls use are just gorgeous.
- Composition. Kajiura Yuki is a composer in the classical sense and it really shows with Kalafina and does a great job at scratching that itch for this type of music.
- Atmosphere. Kalafina creates an almost indescribable feeling with their music. The imagery they create for the listener is fantastical.
DISLIKES:
- Not much. The end of the album struggles a bit only because the lesser songs seem to be saved for the end.
- I couldn't find a song to give 5stars to. Seemed like a lot of them should be, but just barely missed the mark
Kalafina is not for everyone. Their brand of whimsy and atmosphere may not touch a lot of people as it has touched me. Listen to the previews on iTunes to see if Kalafina tickles your fancy. If so, this album is an easy buy.
